Black Star is a collaboration between CIGA Design and the Swiss atelier Label Noir. Where Blue Planet shows the Earth, Black Star leaves it behind: the dial becomes a study of gravity and deep space, built over a year of co-creation.
At its centre is an 8.50 mm concave pit evoking a black hole, CNC-machined and coated with Super Black pigment that absorbs more than 99% of light. Around it a blue spiral and scattered stars form a galactic field, and a luminous polar-star pointer orbits the dial to tell the time.
The 46 mm case is titanium with a black DLC coating and a brushed finish. Inside is the Swiss-made CD-04-S automatic caliber with CIGA's Asynchronous-Follow technology, 28,800 vph, 26 jewels and a 41-hour power reserve, under a scratch-resistant, anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
