Everest China marks 65 years since China's first ascent of Everest in 1960, also the first ascent ever made via the North Ridge. It is CIGA Design's first automaton watch: on the dial, the famous human ladder at the Second Step is recreated in miniature, with Liu Lianman bearing a teammate on his shoulders while a climber moves upward.
Driven by the self-developed CD-10 automatic caliber, the climber reaches the summit at 12:00 and 0:00 each day, then returns to the start within five minutes. The dial is a single piece of genuine Everest bedrock, cut and CNC-engraved over 30 days, with a luminous 65th anniversary relief and ice-axe-inspired hands.
The 45 mm case is Grade 5 titanium with engraved notches as the hour index, and Liu Lianman's words are engraved on the caseback. The black fluororubber strap carries the climbing route from base camp at 5,200 m to the 8,848.86 m summit in embossed relief.
